Industrial safety and accident prevention

LIPSA has built into its industrial activities all the necessary safety precautions to ensure the secure and responsible functioning of its facilities, with the aim of:

  1. Eliminating any risks to its employees
  2. Promoting staff health
  3. Improving working conditions in general

All our efforts are based on the main objective of avoiding any unwanted situations which could affect our oil and fat refining processes and our commitment to our clients.

To this end we comply with Law 31/1995 of 8th November and its recent amendment, Law 54/2003 of 12th December, on Health and Safety Regulations, and all the rules and regulations contained therein.

Health and Safety: An Essential Foundation

  • An emergency plan in case of situations such as fires, explosions, uncontrolled spillages or leaks. 
  • Compliance with the European Agreement on International transportation of Dangerous Materials, ADR.
  • Compliance with APG rules on chemical storage.
  • Compliance with the health and hygiene requirements for plants with risk of legionella.

LIPSA is a member of COASHIQ, the Autonomous Commission for Safety and Hygiene in the Chemical Industry, associated with FEIQUE, the Spanish Chemical Industry Business Foundation.
